I just wanted to take a moment and send you a note of thanks for the performance that
Ceilidhdonia turned in on July 1st at our daughter's wedding.
We have all seen bands that simply mail it in and go through their sets as if they just
want it to be over with. The energy and enthusiasm that the band
generated at our reception was simply infectious and you ignited the entire crowd into a
wonderful frenzy. The Scots, Brits, Irish, Americans and others
in our audience had the best time ever and couldn't tell us enough how much they loved
your performance. But in addition to showing us that you are world-class entertainers
I was also very touched by your humanity. We are an extremely close family so in all
candor it is sometimes difficult for me to have my daughter live across the pond where
I don't get to visit with her as often as I can with her two sisters who live in the
States. Her favorite song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow because it speaks to her
in a very real way. We were disappointed when we learned that the band did not have that
song on your playlist because we thought that it would make the Father/Daughter
dance so incredibly meaningful. One of the greatest surprises of the night was when we
realized that you had taken the time to learn the song and played it for us for our dance.
You took the time and effort to really emotionally connect with the bride and her father
on her special day and we can't thank you enough for that.

band with so much energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to keep the dance floor full all
evening.
We have had so many positive comments from guests on how much they enjoyed the music and

on how brilliant the band were. They interacted with the crowd and let our friend play

even let one of the guests do her songs during the interval

CeilidhDonia were simply brilliant. Their music repertoire was right up my street and they
learned our chosen first dance for us which was great.
They played a great mix of ceilidh and rock / pop music which was just the right mix for
the crowd - some bands don't have enough of a ceilidh
repertoire, no problems with Ceilidhdonia though.. They are lovely folk and I'd recommend
them to anyone looking for a great band.
